Two nights ago, I submitted my book officially to Kindle Scout. It said they’d contact me in 1-2 business days. Not even twelve hours later? Accepted. As I sit here typing this to you guys, my heart is beating so hard…
I GOT IN!!!!
So yeah. You heard it here, my book is officially in Kindle Scout! Starting today, March 10th my book will be up for thousands to review, read and nominate if they so choose. My future rests in the hands of every person who has supported me, and those who don’t even know me! It’s terrifying. My heart beats faster and faster the more I think about this. The more I imagine what could and couldn’t happen during this Kindle Scout journey.
On one hand, I could get nominated and picked for a contract with Kindle Press! A big deal since they don’t accept many books. On the other? Failure. Unacceptance. Left to my own devices and mumbling about the internet on how to get myself out there and ready.
But the thing is I have thirty days to figure myself out. Thirty days to create a marketing plan for myself, and to really tackle this thing. So it’s okay if I don’t get into Kindle Scout. It’s okay if Kindle Scout says yes, too. Either way, I’m ready to tackle this thing!!!!
How You Can Help Me!
Dead Letters needs to be nominated in order to catch the eye of the Kindle Scout editing team. So here are your steps!
- Head on over to Kindle Scout and make an account! You get THREE book nominations, so after you’ve nominated mine, feel free to shop around and see what two other books you’d enjoy reading!
- Once you’ve made your account, either find my book or go directly to my campaign page HERE
- You’ll get to read the excerpt, my Q&A at the bottom and click NOMINATE and confirm!
After all of those steps, you’ll have nominated my book to get published!!! If you’ve gone through the steps, please feel free to leave a comment on this blog post to let me know! That way I can personally thank you.
