For the last month the world has had the opportunity to snag the first three chapters of my debut novel, Dead Letters, for free. And about forty of you did! During this month, I have been working very hard on finalizing this book with my editor, prepping it for publication and well…. it’s almost here now. My editor has it in her hands. The last, and final revisions that we’ve been working so hard on.
It almost feel surreal that this is happening. Two years ago, I never thought that I would have finished Dead Letters. It was just a single chapter collecting virtual dust in my Google Drive. I mean, it even started out with a completely different title! Dead Letters has come such a long way since then. But now, the real journey begins. The journey into taking Dead Letters from a manuscript sitting on my hard drive, to a real book.
Kindle Scout is coming. I’m preparing the best I can. But I’m scared, nervous. And I can’t help but find myself wondering what’s next and if I will succeed. But, there’s time to worry about that. Now is the time for perfecting my product and getting it ready to face the world! I am so excited to be putting this together, truly. It’s going to be amazing.
So, for those of you who picked up Dead Letters from the giveaway, what did you think of it? Did you want to read more? I’d love to know what you were thinking, and think now! Feedback is so important to me! Leave a comment below and tell me if you picked it up! Bonus points if you signed up for my newsletter, thanks to the few who did!
